About Us

We are a Luxury Self Catering Gites on the grounds of the Chateau de Grange Marie, which was built in 1874 by the Damas family, one of the oldest French noble families. The Chateau and its Gites are surrounded by 15 hectares of mostly oak forest, a river, poplar tree grove, future gardens and more (keep checking back the website on what we are currently working on). We are very conveniently located in the heart of the Loire Valley, famous for its many wineries, equestrian facilities, rolling hills and pastures. It is a short distance to the very vibrant and historic city of Saumur (18 km) and Angers (37 km), another large city which is called the mini Paris.

Currently, we are actively working on restoring the Chateau, its outbuildings and its gardens. You might see us working every day on various projects, therefore the place changes every month. You are welcome to stop by for a chat with us or you can even roll up your sleeves and get to work with us, if you fancy!

And did we mention that this part of Loire Valley has been designated as a UNESCO world heritage site? It's THAT beautiful!
