Arrival and Departure

Check in is between 3-8 PM (15:00 to 20:00) on the day of arrival and check out is at 10 AM. If you wish to arrive outside of those times above, please confirm with us prior to your arrival. We can only accommodate the number of people you indicated on the booking form

Car Parking

There is plenty of car parking space for the guests within the grounds. Cars are parked at owners risk. We are not responsible for any theft of damage to the cars.

Pets

We are unable to accommodate any pets at this time.

Smoking Policy

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the apartments as well as on the grounds of the Chateau de Grange Marie including outdoor patios, gardens or walkaways.  Our rooms are equipped with smoke detectors.  If you do not abide by this, you will be immediately asked to leave the premises and terminate the contract.

Cancellation by Us

In the event we need to cancel your booking due to unforeseen reasons, we will contact you immediately; all your advance payments will be refunded if any. We would be happy to recommend other nearby accommodations. Our liability will not extend beyond these terms.

Private Events and Commercial Photography

Private events and commercial photography are not permitted within the property of the Chateau de Grange Marie. If you would like to arrange a private event, please contact us PRIOR to booking. Different terms and conditions may apply.

Property Damage and Loss of Inventory

We welcome you to our Gite as a guest in our home. That also means that you are responsible for the behavior of your companions. Should there be any property damage, we ask you to let us know immediately. We take a list of inventory in the apartments with each cleaning, and you will be responsible for the replacement cost if we notice something is missing after your stay. We normally don't charge for small breakages but you might be held responsible if the damage is significant and requires a contractor to repair it.

This also applies to towels and linens. Please make sure they are not stained with cosmetics, hair color, or self tanners.

Moving the Dates of Your Stay

Once your booking is confirmed and you wish to change the dates, you must notify us in writing. We will try to do our best but changes are based on availability. Once you receive a written confirmation from us, that's when the change of dates becomes valid.

Change of Apartment

Should there be any unforeseen circumstances beyond shortly prior to your arrival (damage, repair,etc..) and we are unable to host you in the apartment that you booked, we reserve the right to move the booking to another similar apartment

Health, Safety and Unacceptable Behavior

Chateau de Grange Marie is a beautiful property and we feel very fortunate to call it our home. You are welcome to walk the grounds however please respect our privacy and do not enter our private accommodations, the Chateau or any other building on the property including trees, shrubs, bushes and any plants.  No form of vandalism, destruction , illegal activities (excessive alcohol or drugs) are strictly prohibited.  Any rude behavior towards the host, other guests or owner's family and friends will not be tolerated and we will notify the police immediately and will be asked to leave the the property.  you will also forefeit all payments and deposits.

Please stay within the Chateau de Grange Marie grounds, do not trespass onto the neighbors properties, do not reach out to pet any farm animals and do not offer them any food. Smoking, bonfires or fireworks are strictly prohibited. There is a small river flowing by and it is not fenced. There are bushes growing along the edge for the most part so please be aware of it if you are traveling with children. Chateau de Grange Marie, our family or anyone that is with us at the property will not be liable or responsible for any injury, damage or loss of any nature to you or your party before, during or after your stay (through negligence or not).

Cancellation by Guest

If you do not cancel your reservation in advance and do not notify us in writing, you will be responsible for the full reservation charge.

Booking Terms and Conditions

1. Any expenses incurred during the rental period (extra cleaning, meals, etc.) must be settled with the owners before the guests departure.

2. It is strongly advised that the guests purchase their own comprehensive travel insurance policy that includes public liability, cancellation cover, and coverage for the party's personal belongings. 

3. Although the final cleaning is included in the price, the owners reserve the right to keep a portion of security deposit if the apartment is left in an unacceptable condition and requires additional ways of cleaning.

4. Under no circumstances, the owner's liability to the Client (Guest) will never exceed the amount paid to the Owner for the rental period.

5. The Owners of the Chateau de Grange Marie are not liable for any damage or injury beyond the control of the Owner such as strike, war, extreme weather or "Act of God" as well as interruption of any equipment or supply of public services to the property.
